Then, thinly slice the stems as they can be quite tough. 1 Saute Shiitake Mushrooms: Heat a frying pan over medium heat and melt the butter. Add the shiitake mushrooms and cook for 2-3 minutes until they are browned. Flip them over and cook for an additional 2 minutes. 3 Season: Turn off the heat and add soy sauce to the frying pan.
